To ensure sustainabiliy, the Indonesian FIP (Fisheries Improvement Project) was launched by Sustainable Fishery Partnership (SFP) in May 2013. The aim of FIP is to prevent overfishing by ensuring that all long liner fishing boats are registered and catching data are recorded.
We recommend that the tuna be defrosted by placing product in the refrigerator for 12 to 24 hours depending upon the density.
