King salmon is the largest species of the Pacific salmon family (which includes Sockeye, Coho and Pink salmon). Also called Chinook, it is heralded as the very best salmon species in terms of taste, texture and nutritional quality.
New Zealand King Salmon currently farms from five sea farms in the cool, deep waters of the South Island’s Marlborough Sounds. They have a strong sense of environmental responsibility for the Sounds, are committed to looking after the environment in which they farm and have an active sponsorship and community support programme.
