Château Carbonnieux – A Historic Grand Cru Classé of Graves
Founded in the 13th century by Benedictine monks, Château Carbonnieux is one of the oldest and most storied estates in Bordeaux. Located in the heart of Pessac-Léognan, the château is celebrated for both its red and white wines, a rare distinction recognized by its inclusion as a Grand Cru Classé de Graves in 1959 for both colors.
The estate spans nearly 170 hectares of gravel and limestone soils, ideally suited to cultivating Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot.
